Aerobics

Aerobic exercise is that exercise which involves oxygen consumption by the body. Aerobic means "with oxygen", and refers to the use of oxygen in the body's metabolic or energy-generating process.

Many types of exercise are aerobic like jogging, brisk walking, skipping, swimming, dancing. These exercises are performed at moderate levels of intensity for extended periods of time.

To obtain best results,an aerobic exercise should include at least 10 minutes of warm up session followed by 30 minutes of intense workout.

Aerobics is a rhythmic activity which strengthens our heart and lungs and in the process helps us exhale more of carbon dioxide and other waste.

Efficient use of oxygen, helps body burning more fat. It's good for cholesterol, and cardiovascular system.

Obese people should be extra careful while starting. They should start with low-impact exercises or jogging for at least 20-30 minutes a day. As their system and muscles get used to the exercise routine they can start with the more strenuous exercises and do it for an hour a day.
Undergoing strenuous aerobic exercises without being used to it may cause cardiac arrests and respiratory problems.
