Swimming for weight loss...

Swimming is often called as the best form of aerobic exercise for weight loss and it seems to make sense.

Swimming is not only use all the muscles in your body, it is very easy on the joints and thus good for overall body weight.

Most people having diseases such as arthritis or even have injuries like torn ligaments are still able to swim because it doesn't jar the joints and muscles.

It is popular with people who are extremely overweight, pregnant, or suffering from some kind of injury.

Swimming is an effective form of fat-burning exercise: because you can swim at your own pace, slowly if you wish, you can keep swimming for long periods, and maintaining your staying power is a vital goal in fat-burning exercise.

When you swim breaststroke or backstroke, you're burning about the same number of calories as a fast walk or a slow jog.

However, for some reason, swimming appears to be less effective than other forms of exercise at promoting weight loss.

Many people feel extremely hungry after training in the pool, and may simply replace all the calories they've burned with a large post-exercise meal. Some research suggests that this is due to the cool temperatures in which swimmers train. Well now, starving is not the solution, you can have a look at our Diets section.

By contrast, runners and cyclists usually experience an increase in body temperature during training, which may serve to suppress appetite - at least in the short term. Again, one should not starve.

Regular swimming strengthens up your body muscles and it is the best way to burn your calorie.

If you can speed up then you have faster chance of loosing weight. However, it doesn’t come that easily.
